Ujung Kulon

Ujung Kulon is a nature reserve at the very South West tip of Java on the Sunda shelf. This includes the Ujung Kulon peninsula and several offshore islands as well as the natural reserve of Krakatoa.

In addition to its natural beauty and geological interest, it contains the largest remaining area of lowland rainforests in the Java plain. Several species of endangered plants and animals can be found including the Javan rhinoceros, wild boar, deer, monkeys, forrest bull and more.

Ujung Kulon is a good 2.5 hour trip by speedboat from the Carita Marina. Recommended to hire a two engine speedboat for better speed and safety. Ask our staff for help if you like to make a booking.
